The unecessary consistent violence, particularly the sexual violence just didn’t work for me.

Forastera : Diana Gabaldon :

I got the first 6 books fkrastera and I started reading the first book until I reached pages and then I would stop. It wasn’t clear to me what exactly she was trying to accomplish in doing so either. I totally love Jamie in this book and I cannot continue to read about his torture and abuse.

I could not even like him. Visit the Help Desk.

There are so many reasons why I had conflicted feelings about this book, I Back inI read many reviews about this series and I loved the idea of a woman married to two guys, each in a different century, years apart. Share your thoughts with other customers.

But this is one of the easiest books to make fun of ever which is why it got two stars; the second star was for the lols. I’m sure Highland men are impressive, but, damn, one more orgasmic encounter and I was going to throw the book across the room. Aside from that, there was a lot of violence. That she did have it there just made things more complicated than they needed to frastera.

I think that Gabaldon is a decent enough writer that she could move the plot along without bogging the whole thing down like that. Okay, let me lay it out for you: So you survived the worthless and endless beginning. Who apparently “gives it to him hard” while saying “tell me you love me” over and over. I loved the beginning a lot, but I suffered from all the description and the many different characters. Claire might gabxldon forgiven him, but I didn’t.

I appreciated reading a book that had a lot of realistic details about living in foradtera past. But not for you, so it’s okay. She talks too much. So what do I do? She also has the chance to go back to the future BUT she doesn’t. I even grew to be as obsessed with herbs and remedies as Claire! However, I did have quite foraastera few problems with this story. He was a nice blend of fofastera traits and bad, and he had a lot of depth to him.

Can we get past the Harlequin romance thing here and get on with a story?

He hasn’t been BORN yet. If you really think about where she was going with Geilie’s date of time travel versus Claire’s and the fact that Geilie was already in the past when Claire arrived, it leads you to the conclusion that the author’s version of time travel is based on some notion that all time exists in the same moment rather than in a line or wave or various other versions some sci fi authors use.

Admittedly, the last or so pages were somewhat enjoyable. To begin with, I found them very much captivating, but they gradually started to remind me of the very detailed love scenes that we get in “The Bronze Horseman” by Flrastera Simons. What really pissed me off about this book was Jamie’s attitude towards Claire after the rape incidents.

English Choose a language for shopping. To start with, it was very dragging in a lot of places, and the story was hard to get into. The later novels’ plots are far too flrastera and really just not that interesting for me. There were period details – sometimes so many that I wondered what the point was and where it was going, although those were the more interesting aspects of the entire book for me life in the keep, etc.

Es una historia muy bien llevada, con historia y costumbres de los forawtera, pero en ningun momento se hace aburrida.

Once that’s made quite clear to the audience, Claire is off having sex with Jamie every 12 pages or so for a decent chunk of the novel with naught a care in the world because she’s cleared her conscience. Seven Stones to Stand or Fall. That was habaldon a chapter of arriving back in time.

She continues to claim that she loves her husband too. Finally, I felt that the part where the priest gives her absolution for the murder she committed, and the choice not to go back to her original husband, felt a little preachy. I should get back to Frank, I think I will take this opportunity to run away Discover Prime Book Box for Kids.

At this point I’m not sure if I’ll read on in the series- perhaps if Fiana feel gabladon need for an epic historical once again, maybe. Yes, people beat each other a lot back in those days, sometimes for very good reasons i. Oooh, but that feels sort of good. Hmm, gabaleon get past that part. God says it’s okay that you’re a bigamist. Either Gabaldon thinks that her written conversations are a LOT funnier than they actually are, or laughter is just her go to dialogue tag.

Outlander: Forastera: Diana Gabaldon: Books –

So I kept on reading. Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. Gabaldo was once a 2 stars novel had moved up closer to 4 stars – until Jaime and Claire started having sex everywhere, and he thought 2 stars Well, I gave gabbaldon another try – and it’s still 2 stars. Claire’s a “go with the flow type of girl”; her only kick-ass asset appears to be her tendency to curse like a boat worker when confronted with badly wounded patients, which shocks the men around her.
