Reading this book I had a lot of fun! At the beginning of systtems chapter there is a case of a real life true example of what will be discussed throughout the rest of the chapter. Each chapter is organized and easy to follow in more of a story plot way that a textbook way.

There are lots of graphs which I found complemented the text very well. There are times when I felt that there was not enough detail, as if I was reading about information at too much of a high level, and other times I was glad this was not a technical book. This book would be great for providing basic historical information for those who may not be well versed in all the technical terms of the trade and want to know the affects ERPs have on and within a company.

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I rented this e-Textbook for a graduate-level course. This second edition has many errors — not misspellings but sentences where words are missing or sentences that are in direct conflict with other sentences very confusing. Many of the case examples presented seem to be incomplete like they are missing the conclusion.

There are several instances where references within the book are invalid. For example, in one of the later chapters in the book maybe chapter 8?

I hope the authors are working on a 3rd edition to make corrections and that they are using a better editor. This is a very informative book for the basics of the subject. It is easy to read and understand, and defines and explains everything clearly. This was a requirement for one of my university classes, and I feel it was a good decision by the professor to use this book.

As per usual, Amazon offered it at a fraction of the cost of the bookstore at school. A lot of problems with ‘management’ style books is that they sound like they’re written by a middle manager – a whole lot of talk without any real direction or answers.

This is the case with this book. Redundant, and seemingly written to make the book longer than what it needs to be, you’ll be looking for answers to the questions in the back of the chapters and not find any concrete information. Of course, if they took out the redundant information, the book would be even smaller and seem like less of a value.

One person found this helpful. Does what books do, provide knowledge. It was a good book, overall. Not the most exciting book I have ever read, but it is meant for education. Incompatible with windows 8. When I purchased this, I purchased the kindle version.

When I tried to view it on my computer, I was informed that it is not available for windows 8. I am not able to use the version purchased on my computer for class now.

On par with other expensive required textbooks. See all 30 reviews. Customers who viewed this item also viewed.
